      The Fujiya Hotel Hakone opened in 1878 and spreads across five buildings constructed between 1891 and 1960, each with its own architectural style and decor. Accommodations range from the Flower Palace junior suites to Forest Wing rooms with garden or forest views, all non-smoking and including air conditioning. Every guest room has a private bathroom with a bathtub filled from the property's natural hot-spring source.

      Hot Springs & Wellness

      The Fujiya Hotel offers indoor and outdoor pools that use natural hot-spring water, plus gender-separated public onsen with a sauna and cold plunge bath. A full-service spa provides massages, body treatments, and facials, and there is a massage chair and a spa lounge with relaxation areas. Guests can also use the fitness center and seasonal outdoor pool, all fed by the same mineral-rich spring.

      The Fujiya Hotel Hakone houses the Main Dining Room serving French cuisine in a 1930s setting, and the Kikka-so restaurant, a converted Imperial Villa that offers traditional Japanese kaiseki dinners. A Western-style restaurant called Cascade and a bar with a lounge provide additional food and drink options, including afternoon tea and wine. There is also a bakery on the premises and a coffee house next to the gift shop.

      The Fujiya Hakone maintains a large Japanese garden with koi ponds, a greenhouse, and a chapel, as well as an on-site museum documenting the hotel's history since 1878. Guests can feed the koi fish using food provided near reception, borrow the hotel's complimentary shuttle to Miyanoshita Station (500 meters away), or walk to the Hakone Open-Air Museum. A free self-service drink station in the Forest Lounge offers soft drinks, coffee, and tea throughout the day.
